How to download soc mods

AND if you playing in any othe rlanguage than english, you need to install the language fix.. Like mfg42 said, including me, you have to change those lines before adding any mod.

Go to nexusmods or whatever website has the download links for the mods you'd like to use.

Download them to desktop or somewhere convenient of your choosing, and then use 7zip to open them. View the readme. You will use 7zip to extract the appropriate folder into your Stalker SoC folder, as described by the location above. Profit Some mods will only have one folder, and you extract that whole folder. Some mods will have multiple folders, and you must choose the package you want to extract to your SoC folder. The readmes will explain what to do if the mods are any good.

Personally, I would recommend using Zone Reclamation Project 1. ZRP is for bug fixes and has a great configuration tool for some game settings and optional submods, and the absolute packs are the highest quality texture packs for the vanilla game feel out there as far as I know.

In addition to that, I'm using a "real world weapons" texture pack and a "pm and pb" texture pack to make my guns look prettier. Good luck and get out of here, stalker. Take the "config" folder and overwrite the one in your "gamedata" folder. Hope this helps. It's always a good idea to back up any files you plan on modding, too.
